Yantra, in Sanskrit, indicates a device or instrument used as a medium of creation or expression. The Yantra collection by Piya uses geometric shapes to connect us to the energetic essence of each chakra.

In the Sanskrit language, a mantra refers to a formula for prayer. With this in mind, each word and symbol in Chakra by Piya’s Mantra collection of jewellery create powerful sound vibrations for specific chakras.
Padma is the Sanskrit word for lotus, which symbolises purity. In this range, the designs by Piya depict the chakras in the form of the opening lotus, representing our own unfolding into Consciousness.
Located at the base of the spine, this chakra forms our foundation. As it represents the earth, it is related to our sense of grounding and the physical connection we have with our bodies. If aligned, the chakra brings us health, prosperity, security, and dynamism.
The Root Chakra develops in the first seven years of our life. This is the time when we are dependent on the people who are our caretakers, be it parents, family members or our support system. If we are well-supported during this time of our life, our foundation develops strongly and our connection to the larger world comes from a space of strength and a sense of trust.
A balanced or aligned Root Chakra will reflect a person who has a strong sense of self. Someone with a strong foundation has a good and easy relationship with the people around them. This is because they are strong within themselves and they know who they are – they are on solid ground.
Going to a park is an excellent way to help balance the Root Chakra, because it is about grounding. Walking barefoot on the grass, or at the beach, helps ground us. Being around nature in general always helps, because it is about our connection to the larger world in its truer form. It is a form of grounding and connecting to the earth, and is a great way to help strengthen the Root Chakra.
Within Chakra by Piya’s jewellery there are four collections that help connect us to the Root Chakra energy of grounding and foundation. By connecting to our own Root Chakra and observing what it needs we can choose which collection to work with. The Mantra Collection brings balance to the energy, the Yantra Collection inspires manifestation, the Naadi Collection is about allowing the energy to flow, and the Padma Collection raises and expands the energy in us.
All of the seven Chakras have four facets to them. Just as a person can be a mother, daughter, wife, and sister all at the same time, so too the chakras have different aspects, or functions. You can discover these through our four collections: Mantra for balance, Yantra for manifestation, Naadi for clearing and transformation and Padma for growth and evolution.
This is the crown chakra and it sits just slightly above our heads. It relates to fully realised consciousness and awareness. It is our connection to the greater world beyond: to a timeless, space-less state of all-knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss.
This chakra is known as the brow chakra, or the ‘third eye center’. It is located in the forehead. It is related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens all our faculties – both sensory and otherwise – to the world around us. When healthy, it allows us to see the “big picture" with greater clarity.
This is the chakra located in the throat and is related to communication and creativity. Through it we experience the world symbolically through vibration, just as the throat experiences language through the vibration of sound. A balanced throat chakra helps us to understand the truth of who we are, and communicate this to others with honesty.
This chakra is called the heart chakra (where it is also located). It is the middle chakra: fourth in a system of seven. It is related to love. It binds together any opposite aspects we possess, such as mind and body or male and female. A healthy fourth chakra allows us to love deeply, be more compassionate, and have a deep sense of peace and centeredness.
This chakra is also known as the power chakra. It is located in our solar plexus, near the abdomen. It rules our personal power, will, and autonomy (as well as our metabolism). When healthy, this chakra brings us energy, effectiveness, and spontaneity. It also helps provide a power that is not dominating in nature.
The second chakra is located in the abdomen, lower back, and sexual organs. It is related to water, and to emotions and sexuality. It connects us to others through feelings, desires, sensations, and movement. Ideally this chakra brings us fluidity and grace, sexual fulfilment, and the ability to accept change.
